| Summary, etc | Die Ortsnamen im südlichen Sachsen-Anhalt, in einer Region, die in mittelalterlichen Quellen als Friesenfeld bezeichnet wird, weisen durch das umfangreiche Hersfelder Zehntverzeichnis eine außergewöhnlich alte schriftliche Überlieferung auf. Aber bei weitem nicht alle heute existierenden Orte dieser Region sind in ihm verzeichnet. Der Kontrast zwischen den Namen des Zehntverzeichnisses und dem gesamten Ortsnameninventar sind bislang nur in geringem Maße im Fokus der Forschung.Erst jetzt wird im Rahmen einer Analyse der toponymischen Landschaft nach Namentypen geordnet dargelegt, inwieweit sich die Namen im Zehntverzeichnis durch Besonderheiten auszeichnen. Anknüpfend daran wird der Frage nachgegangen, ob diese Quelle die gesamte im 9. Jahrhundert existierende Siedlungslandschaft manifestiert oder nur einen Ausschnitt aus ihr wiedergibt. Abschließend werden die sich hieraus ergebenden Implikationen für das Verständnis von frühmittelalterlicher Herrschaft diskutiert. |
