| Summary, etc | Diese Studie stellt den türkischen Islam in den geschichtlichen Kontext moderner Gesellschaftlichkeit und analysiert ihn anhand zweier Gegenstandsbereiche. Der staatlich verwalteten Religion, vertreten durch die Religionsbehörde, kommt die Aufgabe zu, den »moralischen Kitt« für die nationalstaatlich verfaßte Gesellschaft zu liefern. Konträr dazu sehen die in den 1990er Jahren erstarkten Islamisten im Islam die Grundlage eines alternativen Gesellschaftsmodells. Am Beispiel der islamistischen »Utopie« zeigt Levent Tezcan, wie sehr der intellektuelle Islamismus - entgegen seiner antimodernen Semantik - in die Strukturen der modernen Weltwahrnehmung eingebunden ist. Von besonderer Brisanz sind hierbei die im islamistischen Konzept der Idealgesellschaft steckenden totalitären Züge.Weder ist es das Anliegen des Autors, das Säkularitätskonzept einfach auf die türkische Praxis zu applizieren, noch die Modernität der Islamisten nachzuweisen. Er arbeitet vielmehr die kulturspezifischen Übersetzungen moderner Diskurse, Praktiken und Institutionen heraus, und zwar bezogen auf beide der hier behandelten Ausformungen islamischer Religiosität. |
